Pay: Starting at $72,000 - $77,000 per year + full benefits

  What Makes This Position Special? Provides oversight and support to ensure that the campus meets all legal and company standards in all areas of Human Resources.
  What You'll Do:
  
  • 
    
  • Assist with the pre-employment process to meet DSS standards.
    
  • Conduct new hire orientation and processes all necessary paperwork.
    
  • Provide payroll with documentation necessary to process new hires and employee changes. Responsible for ensuring proper authorization and documentation is obtained for new hires and changes.
    
  • Provide employees with health and welfare benefit information and conduct information sessions as necessary.
    
  • Process workers compensation claims by gathering incident reports and witness statements, providing employee with claim form, processing claim with insurance company, and working with the doctors, claims administrator, and supervisor to determine if modified duty is necessary and available, and recording incidents on OSHA logs if necessary.
    
  • Assist management with the termination process ensuring proper documentation, notifying payroll, and processing all necessary forms.
    
  • Maintain employee files that meet legal and company guidelines, and maintain roster with active employees, volunteers, and contractors.
    
    The Skills You'll Need:
    
    • 
      
    • Spanish strongly preferred, but not required.
      
    • A bachelor's degree in Human Resources or equivalent or Human Resources Certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
      
    • 2+ years of experience as a Human Resources Generalist.
      
    • General knowledge of the principles and practices of human resources administration.
      
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management staff, employees, and the general public.
      
    • Ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form.
      
    • Demonstrates flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload.
      
    • Attention to detail essential.
